Parents and Friends

Carlisle Adventist College was established 75 years ago in the Mackay region, founded on the belief that a strong partnership between students, parents and teachers enriches the life and success of the School.

Today, Carlisle Adventist Christian College continues to value and encourage parental involvement in all its forms. One of the most meaningful ways families can engage with the School and contribute to its ongoing growth is through the welcoming and active Parents’ and Friends’ Committee (P&F). The P&F meets once each term on a Monday.

The P&F Committee plays an important role in strengthening community connections, supporting clear communication and contributing to school development through fundraising. Its focus includes:

• organising fundraising initiatives to support School projects

• providing events that encourage participation and social connection

• acting as a communication link between parents and the School

• fostering connections among parents

• offering helpful services and information such as regionally based Link Groups, the School Calendar, the Second Hand Uniform Shop, catering at selected events, and resources for current and prospective families

Through the P&F, families are invited to be part of a supportive community that works together for the benefit of our students and School.

The major objectives of the Committee are:

  • to promote the parent interest in and support of School activities
  • to raise funds for School projects
  • to work in close co-operation with the School administration and staff for the benefit of students in the School in various volunteer capacities

Committee Representatives
